On the manhwa’s Kakaopage, a notice was posted, announcing that The Requiem for Wandering Souls will be concluding its serializing with the end of the first season. The studio apologized to readers who had been waiting for its return after its year long hiatus. There was no reason given for the cancelation as of this article’s writing.
Based on the original webnovel by Jungyeon, The Requiem for Wandering Souls inspired a manhwa adaptation that had Mogin writing the story and Ohwolrang working on the illustration. The manhwa debuted on Kakaopage on September 15, 2024 and concluded with the first and final season on July 4, 2025. The English translation launched on August 26, 2025 and finished. on February 24, 2026. The manhwa has amassed 3.9 million views on Kakaopage.
