Seven Seas Bids Farewell to Dinghai Fusheng Records With Beautiful Final Cover

The cover for the sixth volume of the historical danmei Dinghai Fusheng Records has been revealed.

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment unveiled the sixth and final volume of Dinghai Fusheng Records. There are no extra inclusions for this volume, presumably because the first volume was already a special edition. Chen Xing and Xiang Shu are walking amongst purple wisteria, admiring nature’s beauty. 苍顾行 illustrated the gorgeous cover, with VIN providing the interior artwork. moon, Elestrea, and Zryuu worked on the translation for the series.

Written by Arise Zhang, also known as Fei Tian Ye Xiang, Dinghai Fusheng Records was first published on JJWXC in 2019 and spans 138 chapters. The series has inspired an audio drama adaptation that was released in January 2020 and a manhua adaptation in July 2020. Dinghai Fusheng Records has also been adapted into a donghua called Epic of Divinity Light with 12 episodes.

The story follows the last exorcist named Chen Xing who must prevent an impending apocalypse. But he can’t do it alone and, using his heart lamp, he seeks out his Protector who is destined to fight by his side. Unfortunately, his heart lamp picks a stranger named Xiang Shu who wants no business in saving the world.

Thanks to their memories of the previous timeline, Chen Xing, Xiang Shu, and their allies know the Battle of Fei River is coming, but they have no way to stop it. The Demon God Chiyou is mustering a horde of undead to wage war against the southern army, seeking to unleash a cataclysmic surge of resentment that will grant him dominion over the mortal world. Worse still, the Acala Blade is in Chiyou’s hands, twisted from the sacred weapon the exorcists need into a blade of darkness.

Without the Acala Blade, their only remaining hope lies in the Heart Lamp. But using its light against Chiyou will put Chen Xing’s life in jeopardy. Can Xiang Shu accept Chen Xing’s choice to put himself in harm’s way? Or will the risk of his beloved’s death prove too much for him to stand…even when the fate of the world is at stake?

The final volume of Dinghai Fusheng Records comes out on December 22.
