One Room TA Animated Adaptation Reveals Premiere Date

One Room TA is coming out on August 28.

LAFTEL, the streaming platform, dropped a key visual with the premiere date. The key visual places Uyun and Jinhyeong front and center with Uyun doing a heart with his cheek and adorably offering a peace sign while Jinhyeong gives a stoic thumbs-up. The other characters are either doing silly poses or acting cool. One Room TA will only have seven episodes. The first three episodes will come out on August 28, the next two on September 4, and the last two on September 11.

The animated adaptation dropped the opening theme song, “Homeostasis Collapse” earlier in the month–a rerelease after its initial takedown–with an “improved audio track.”

One Room TA, written and illustrated by Jibung, was first released on Peanutoon but has moved to Bomtoom after the platform closed. Garnering over 7 million views, the webcomic has also earned “Most Entertaining Books of 2024” by the Korean Publishing Culture Association. The series has been a popular fan favorite since its release in 2022.

The synopsis is as follows:

After returning to campus as a sophomore, Uyun meets Jinhyeong, the socially-awkward-yet-stunningly-handsome T.A., and blurts out a confession on a whim. One thing leads to another…and suddenly, they’re roommates! Just as things start to heat up, Jinhyeong pulls back after a steamy kiss and says he has a very specific fantasy about physical intimacy. But just what kind of fantasy does he have? Can the two of them overcome all their wild expectations (and even wilder reality) to survive their first night together?

Formerly on Tappytoon before Peanutoon’s closure, One Room TA can now be read on Lezhin. The aeni releases on LAFTEL for those in Korea and Rakuten Viki for those in Americas, Europe, Oceania, Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.
