Careful; this light anime adaptation might make you very addicted to BL (if you weren’t already).
The social media account for Perfect Addiction announced that the BL manga will release its light anime adaptation in July. The anime will star Yohei Azakami as Akihito Kuji and Soma Saito as Sae Takatsuki. IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio will animate and produce the series with Akashi Uozomi directing and Kazuya Takahashi serving as the production supervisor. Izumi Tezuka will handle the series scripts with Midori Narikiyo composing.

A light anime is different from a normal anime adaptation. A light anime is a low-budget adaptation of a manga where the animation is of a simpler quality, meant to cut down on production costs. One way of producing a light anime could be by animating the manga panels by adding color, movement, and music.
Seven Seas has licensed the series and provided the following synopsis for the first volume:
Akihito is a college student obsessed with good looks and carnal pleasure, but he can’t stand the handsome-yet-aloof Sae. Things come to a head when Akihito is shot down at a singles mixer by a girl who’s set her romantic sights on Sae. Furious, he follows Sae to the hotel district where he learns Sae’s secret: he’s gay, and he’s having trouble enjoying himself in the bedroom. Breaking through Sae’s mental barriers is exactly the sexy challenge Akihito needed. It awakens something in them both. Will they ever be able to control themselves again?
Perfect Addiction is the second project of the projected four animated titles under BALLOON, the BL label launched by IMAGICA Infos and Dai Nippon Printing, CYBIRD, and BLUE RIGHTS.
Written and illustrated by Kaoruko Miyama, Perfect Addiction first launched in Gush Comics on April 7, 2022 with a fourth volume that released on March 10, 2026. Seven Seas will release the second volume on July 21.
Perfect Addiction airs in July. There is no word yet of an international release.
