NosTale is celebrating 19 years. Gameforge has launched the anniversary update for its anime MMORPG, bringing new content, limited-time events, and quality-of-life improvements designed to make progression more convenient.
Expanded Celestial Spire Catacombs
The Celestial Spire Catacombs have been expanded from 20 to 30 stages, offering established families a challenging new long-term progression goal. The extension introduces:
- Ten additional stages
- Two new map variants
- Distinct visual treatments for stages 21–25 and 26–30
- Six new daily and monthly family missions
- Additional family-wide combat and progression bonuses
- Rebalanced stage rewards
Adjustments have also been made to existing stages, offering families a refreshed and more rewarding experience.
Quality of Life Improvements
The update introduces automatic betting and upgrading features to reduce repetitive manual actions:
- Auto-rarity change: Players can define a target rarity when changing equipment rarity, with the process stopping automatically once the target is reached or materials are depleted.
- Auto-upgrade: Automatic upgrade attempts for equipment and specialist cards, stopping after a successful upgrade or when materials run out.
19 Days of Rewards
From October 7 to October 28, players can claim birthday-themed rewards through the anniversary login calendar. The calendar features 19 reward chests—one for each year of NosTale’s journey.
The Great Collector’s Event
Also running October 7 to October 28, players can defeat monsters to collect anniversary-themed letters and special items, exchangeable for buffs and a limited anniversary medal offering temporary bonuses to character, pet, and partner experience, as well as attack and defense. The event returns in a refreshed form after originally appearing during NosTale’s 10th anniversary.
Return to Grasslin Raid
From October 7 to October 16, groups of up to 15 players can enter the returning Grasslin Raid. Participants face two Giant Grasslins while managing additional enemies and avoiding powerful area attacks. Successful groups can earn seasonal rewards, including the Grasslin Fairy pet, Bamboo, and other event-exclusive items.

With new stages to conquer, progression improvements, and anniversary activities throughout October, NosTale‘s 19th anniversary celebrates more than the game’s history—it reflects the continued evolution of one of the longest-running anime MMORPGs still actively operated and expanded in the West.
