The new king has taken the throne.

Inklore has revealed the cover for the first volume of the upcoming sequel series to King’s Maker. King’s Maker: Triple Crown follows the events after the first series where the kingdom is thrust into uncertainty and political unrest all while Wolfgang and Soohyuk try to balance their duties as well as responsibilities to each other. The first volume features Wolfgang dressed in royal attire as he stares, concerned, at the crown in his hands. The publisher will also release it in its mature and uncensored version.

Written by Haga and illustrated by Kang Jiyoung, King’s Maker follows Wolfgang Goldenleonard, a young boy with golden hair who has been keeping his origins as the fourth son of the corrupt king a secret. Forced to move back into the castle, Wolfgang meets Soohyuk Shin, one of the king’s ‘chosen’ children. Despite how unruly Wolfgang seems, Soohyuk seems potential in the young heir…and hope.

The first series launched on Tappytoon on March 18, 2021 and concluded with 37 episodes on September 18, 2021. Triple Crown launched on January 13, 2020 where the series spanned three seasons before concluding on December 19, 2023. Two epilogues were released after.

Inklore describes the first volume as such:

Since deposing his despotic father and treacherous brothers, Wolfgang has brought a new age to the Kingdom of Goldenleonard with the help of Soohyuk Shin. Tyranny and suffering are things of the past, but there is still much work to be done. Paperwork, formal dress fittings, and council meetings clutter Wolfgang’s days when all he wants is to spend time with Soohyuk. Their childhood friendship has blossomed into something more intense, with frenzied heat and uncertain glances, yet as they grow closer they somehow seem to understand each other less.

Beyond the palace walls, there is unrest in the kingdom, despite its benevolent new king. Old wounds have been left to fester, and an ancient promise is about to come due.

The first volume bundles the first 14 episodes of the webcomic and comes out on March 2, 2027.
