Kun Yi Wei Lou’s works will be available in English very soon.

Via Lactea has announced it has licensed the official English licensing rights to all of Kun Yi Wei Lou’s works, with exception to her most recent works. The publisher revealed its first license, The Fallen Blossom, first. All of her works will be released digitally first before getting released as a print version. It is unclear if it will follow the same pattern as what the publisher is already doing for The Eternal Gate where chapters are released on their Patreon and the author can interact with readers.

Via Lactea has already licensed Kun Yi Wei Lou’s other works, The Missing Piece.

Via Lactea describes the story:

Duan Ling had always been able to tell the twin brothers apart. Yet at the most critical moment, he mistook one for the other.
That single mistake cost him a decade of unwavering devotion and left him cradling his dying beloved without ever realizing who he truly was.

His beloved once said he was searching for someone who would recognize him at a glance—someone who would never mistake him for his younger brother. In that person’s eyes, he would be the only one—
Yet he never found that person, not even in death.

The publisher recently came under fire for using AI, not in its translation process but as a “reference tool,” when it was revealed on their recruitment post for The Fallen Blossom that translators needed to be a “native English speaker” and have “strong literary skills” with a preference for “experience in danmei translation.”

A release date for The Fallen Blossom has not yet been announced.
