Who’s ready for some yuri angst?

A new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day has dropped, revealing the opening and ending theme songs for the series. The trailer shows the day-to-day lives of Sheena Totsuki, Mimi Kagari, Lizzy Seiran, and Ali Maud. ReoNa performs the opening “Amore” with sajou no hana performing the ending “Éternel.” The anime premieres on July 7.

Rie Takahashi will voice Sheena, Rina Hidaka voices Mimi, Asami Seto portrays Lizzy, and Yui Ishikawa voices Ali. ROLL2 will animate and produce the series with Yasushi Tomoda helming as the director. Takudai Kakuchi, previously the pilot film director, will now be the creative advisor. Jukki Hanada will write and supervise the series scripts with Kyoko Yufu as character designer. Yukari Hashimoto will compose the music.

Created by Aono Nachi, the manga first serialized in Comic Yuri Hime from August 2018 to December 2019 before moving to PixivYurihime and Ichijin Plus for an online serialization. As of March 2025, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day has eight tankobon volumes. The manga has received a nomination in the print manga category at the Next Manga Award in 2019.

Kodansha has provided the synopsis for the manga’s first volume:

Death lurks behind a mysterious orphanage where children train to become magical weapons of war. Among them is Sheena, who longs to stop the fighting and end the conflict. On one gruesome night, Sheena meets a strange girl covered in blood, with a smile on her face. The mysterious girl turns out to be a secret weapon—an immortal child soldier named Mimi. When the two become roommates, there is growing tension and attraction. How will the peace-loving Sheena live with someone who welcomes death?

I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day premieres on July 7. There is no word yet of an international streaming platform.
