Via Lactea is breaking out of its single volume licenses with this new announcement.
The small independent publisher revealed it had licensed the English and Chinese license of the modern danmei Beyond the Fifth Spring, written by Tao Tao Zhu Nian. In a reply to a X, formerly known as Twitter, user, Via Lactea indicated that it would contain three to four volumes. Despite the rather glooming synopsis, the publisher assured readers Beyond the Fifth Spring would have a happy ending. Information about the translator and editor was not readily available.

Via Lactea provided the following synopsis:
Actor Li Jingchi was reviled throughout the industry. Rumors and scandals followed him everywhere, and even being handed a Best Actor title by his sugar daddies couldn’t earn him respect.
In the end, just as it had happened in the film that won him the award, he never made it past his fifth spring.During the bitter winter of his fourth year in the industry, Li Jingchi took his own life without a hint of regret…
But someone else would spend the rest of their life drowning in it.
A preorder window has not been announced yet as of this article’s writing.
