Forget overpowered swords and demon lord subjugation. This summer, HIDIVE is serving up something different: a slow-life isekai about a dumped saintess who just wants to camp and cook.
The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World debuts July on HIDIVE as part of the streaming service’s Summer 2026 simulcast lineup.
Late 20s caregiver Rin Takanashi gets summoned to another world as a saint—only to be promptly dumped there alone. But instead of despairing, she leans into her ridiculously overpowered god-tier skills: a tricked-out motor home named “Mochan” and Survival. Her mission? Solo camping and cooking her way through a fantasy world, one gourmet meal at a time.
The series adapts Yoneori’s light novel series, which launched in 2019 and now spans six volumes published by Kadokawa Shoten.
Director Atsushi Nigorikawa leads the production, with Takashi Aoshima on series composition. Akane Nitou (original illustrator) and Izumi Ishii handle character design. Animation comes from EMT Squared in association with Ankichi Kobo.
Sora Tokui voices Rin, with Yuki On as Ville.
“Gourmet and slow-life isekai are two of the hottest genres in anime right now,” said HIDIVE President John Ledford, “and The Forsaken Saintess combines both!” It’s a fair assessment—audiences have shown a growing appetite for low-stakes fantasy where the biggest conflict is what’s for dinner.
The series streams exclusively on HIDIVE in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. A promotional video (PV #1) with English subtitles is already available on HIDIVE’s YouTube channel.
If your summer watchlist could use fewer world-ending stakes and more scenic campsite cooking, this one’s for you. Hop aboard Mochan and enjoy the ride.
