The final volume of Golden Terrace contains a special surprise for fans.

No, it’s not a special edition, much to many fans’ disappointment. In their reveal of the second and final volume of Golden Terrace, Seven Seas revealed that there would be four new chapters that will be available for the first in English. Previously, Golden Terrace was published by Peach Flower House before it was unceremoniously and abruptly shut down in November 2024 and any remaining copies were either all sold out or sold for exorbitant prices. Seven Seas announced the license in May 2025. Me.mimo provided the illustrations for the cover and interior. Suika and kou gave an all-new English translation for the series.

Written by Cang Wu Bin Bai, Golden Terrace follows Fu Shen, a high-ranking military commander forced into an arranged marriage with his political rival, Yan Xianhan. Despite his lingering injuries and their clashing ideals, the two must navigate palace intrigue, dangerous secrets, and perhaps even unexpected romance.

The synopsis for the final volume reads:

Fu Shen and Yan Xiaohan have barely savored their first taste of wedded bliss before Yan Xiaohan is sent on a mission south, leaving Fu Shen alone in the capital. When a sudden storm drives Yan Xiaohan’s party into the shelter of a mysterious temple, he is thrust into unexpected peril, with Fu Shen too far away to help.

Meanwhile, Fu Shen’s absence from the northern battlefields has given the Zhou Empire’s enemies a tempting opportunity. Once again facing the prospect of war, Fu Shen must decide if he is willing to bleed for an emperor that has repeatedly repaid his sacrifice with suspicion.

As political schemes and foreign powers threaten to fracture the nation, Fu Shen and Yan Xiaohan remain separated. With an empire’s width between them, will the newlyweds ever come together again?

Golden Terrace Volume 2 comes out on October 6.
