It has been six months since Brothers Without Tomorrow announced the return of Dear Zero, and the day has finally arrived for the its grand return.
Dear Zero has finally dropped Season 2 on October 17. This marks almost two years since the BL manhwa got an update after its conclusion with Season 1 on December 28, 2024. According to Brothers Without Tomorrow, Dear Zero‘s return was made possible due to the support and assistance of Bomtoon, the webcomics platform. The series will drop episodes every week for four weeks before taking a one-week hiatus. The creator thanked their readers for believing in them and waiting for the manhwa’s return, as well as promising to repay the fans in full for their patience.
In addition, Brothers Without Tomorrow also had an update for another one of their popular works, Foul’s Start. This is also another one of their manhwa that has been discontinued due to legal disputes with their previous publisher. According to the creator, negotiations on getting the rights back for Foul’s Start is making progress. As for the rights to their other works, that will take longer “due to lack of communication and coordination.”
“I still convey that I am making efforts to protect my works,” they wrote. “Thank you to the readers who trust and wait.”
Dear Zero launched on Lezhin on July 20, 2024 and ran for 30 episodes for Season 1. However, the serialization for the series as well as Foul’s Start and Syrinx, the Villain Healer were stalled due to issues Brothers Without a Tomorrow had with the publisher. According to a tweet they posted on August 31, 2025, they recently ended their affiliation with the publisher who had some “business circumstances.” As a result of the contractual and copyright issues, they could not continue the serialization of any of the three series on their own until those issues were resolved.
They hoped that they could continue these works in the future and were currently searching for ways to do so. There have been no updates for Syrinx, the Villain Healer.
A prolific BL writer, Brothers Without a Tomorrow has written Paramour, Tale of the Yellow Dragon, Blood Link, Serene Bird, Mania, Love Level Up, Taming the Tiger, Smyrna and Capri, Miscreants and Mayhem, and Blossoms of the White Night which are all on Lezhin.
