Crossed Hearts is rapidly expanding and has already announced its new novel imprint.
The new publisher is making its presence heard with numerous new licenses as well as imprints devoted to genres and demographics. Crossed Hearts had previously announced the license of several novels and now they’ll find a new home at A Novel Press which “focuses on novels exploring love, adventure, mystery, and connections that feel immersive, heartfelt, and impossible to forget…”
The Abandoned Villainess Became a Zombie and Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion will both have special editions along with the standard edition. The special editions will have elegant dust jackets and sprayed edges.
Crossed Hearts also revealed the covers for the first two volumes of Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion. Each cover is meant to follow the two characters through a “a different chapter of their love story.” The novel will have four volumes with the fourth focusing on the side stories. The first two volumes will be in a Raeliana box set and the last two volumes in a Noah box set.

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion was written by Milcha and serialized on Kakaopage in September 2016. The story received a webcomic adaptation, illustrated by Whale, that launched in September 2017. Yen Press licenses the webcomic print edition. The series inspired an anime adaptation that aired in April 2023 for 12 episodes. There is no word of a second season.
The first two volumes of Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion comes out this Christmas.
