Netflix has revealed the official teaser for Bride of the Barrier Master.
The teaser opens with Hana Ichise meeting Saku Ichinomiya and introduces the Ichinomiya family as protectors of society. From a young age, Hana has been yelled at and scorned for being the untalented and weaker sister compared to her twin sister Hazuki. But her power gets awakened in Hana, and although she wants nothing more than to live a life of peace, she gets discovered by Saku who proposes a contract marriage. A key visual of the two sister was also released.
TROYCA will animate and produce the series with Toru Kitahata directing. Minami Murayama will design the characters with Yuko Kakihara overseeing the series scripts. Yukari Hashimoto and R.O.N. will compose the music. Akari Kito and Kikunosuke Toya will star as the voices of Hana and Saku. Kanon Takao will portray Hazuki and Hiroto Shimizu will voice Nozomi Ichinomiya. Yuzuki Tamukai, Taihi Kimura, and M.A.O. will voice shikigami Azuha, Aoi, and Miyabi, respectively.
Written by Kureha and illustrated by Bodax, Bride of the Barrier Master began serialization on December 21, 2021 in Kadokawa Shoten and currently has seven volumes. The series has over 2.5 million copies in circulation. A manga adaptation, with Odayaka as the artist, began on March 5, 2022. Yen Press’s light novel imprint publishes the series in English and also publishes the manga.
