AX 2026: Hulu Animayhem Yokocho Brings Tokyo Alley Culture to Anime Expo 2026

Hulu Animayhem

Hulu’s Animayhem Yokocho has officially opened at Anime Expo 2026, transforming the Los Angeles Convention Center into a vibrant Tokyo alley where anime worlds collide in real time. Running through July 5, the activation draws on the energy of Tokyo’s famous alley culture—paper lanterns and cherry blossoms overhead, characters at every turn, and interactive moments around every corner.

The Experience

Guests move through an immersive corridor where Hulu’s top anime titles come to life, with easter eggs, photo ops, and interactive moments scattered throughout. Featured series include:

  • Naruto Classic
  • Tokyo Revengers
  • Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
  • Rooster Fighter
  • Mission: Yozakura Family
  • Though I Am An Inept Villainess
  • Undead Unluck: Winter Arc

Interactive Highlights

The activation features dedicated photo ops and interactive experiences:

  • Bleach Photo Op – Step alongside life-size standees of Ganju, Chad, Ichigo, Orihime, and Uryu for a branded digital keepsake.
  • Naruto Ramen Shop – Take a seat beside a 2D cutout of Naruto at Ichiraku Ramen.
  • Rooster Fighter Dance Challenge – Dance alongside animated character overlays; a rooster mascot makes surprise appearances.
  • Tokyo Revengers Graffiti Wall – Stand with the Toman gang in front of a full-width street wall featuring the legendary dragon tattoo.
  • Mission: Yozakura Family Packing Game – A 60-second puzzle challenge to pack the family’s gear after they overslept.
  • Though I Am An Inept Villainess Court Portrait – Join Kou Reirin and Shu Keigetus and pick your side for a portrait.
  • Undead Unluck Confrontation – Face off with Apocalypse, the devilish book.

The Bottom Line

Hulu’s Animayhem Yokocho is one of the most photo-friendly and interactive presences at Anime Expo this year, and our on-site team had the time of their lives. Between the Naruto ramen shop, Bleach selfies, and a possible rooster mascot, it’s worth carving out time for before the convention wraps on July 5.

All featured titles are streaming now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.

Anime Expo runs through July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. See you in the alley.
