There has been no updates for Adultery Agreement, the omegaverse danmei that was announced earlier this year, and Via Lactea has now given a reason why.
Unfortunately, the publisher did not give the news in a social media post and instead, opted to reply to a comment on their Patreon page. Via Lactea did not offer any further explanation other than to say, “Hi, the contract for this book has been terminated.” It is unclear why the contract was terminated and whether Via Lactea will seek to renew the license for this book. Previously, the publisher announced that it would license both the English and Chinese versions.
The English license for Towei’s Adultery Agreement was announced in February of this year, but the Tweet for the announcement has now been deleted. Via Lactea had previously revealed it would be released as a single volume.
Via Novelupdates, the series, released in 2021, follows alpha Chiang Liu who meets the omega of his dreams on a hookup app only to discover that he’s married to a beta woman and has a daughter. Because he’s an omega, he and his wife agree that he can find an alpha when he goes into heat.
As of this article’s writing, there appears to be no English publisher holding the license for Adultery Agreement.
