Hikaru Utada Announces New Single “Intentions” with Cover Art by YUKIKO NORITAKE

Hikaru Utada has a new song on the way—and it’s coming with a striking visual.

The legendary artist has announced that “Intentions” will be released digitally on November 25. The track has already been making waves as the theme song for JR Central’s “GOOD DAY EXPRESS” campaign, promoting the new premium “Supreme Class” cabins on the Tokaido Shinkansen.

The single’s cover art was created by YUKIKO NORITAKE, a Paris-based Japanese illustrator and artist whose work has graced the pages of The New Yorker and The New York Times. Her distinctive style brings a unique visual identity to the release.
