husky and white cat shizun vol 11

It has been 11 volumes of suffering, misunderstandings, heartbreak, reconciliation, and grief, but a happy ending is in store for Ranwan.

Volume 11 marks the finale for The Husky and His White Cat Shizun and to celebrate the last volume, Seven Seas Entertainment announced a special edition version. The special edition includes six double-sided 7″ x 5″ postcards that feature all of the cover arts including a bonus chibi illustration, a 10″ x 5″ poster that features new art, a sticker sheet, a three-dimensional double-sided papercraft standee, and a double-sided bookmark.

The cover, illustrated by St., shows Mo Ran twirling Chu Wanning around, flowers entwined in their hair, the pink matching their robes. Mo Ran holds an umbrella in one hand, the illustration of a husky and white cat nuzzling against each other painted on the background. The overall color scheme is a pale pink with splashes of gold and blue. Jun, Rui, and Yu translated the series.

Author Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou will also write a new afterword, exclusive to the Seven Seas edition.

The story follows the entangled lives of Mo Ran and his shizun Chu Wanning. After the violent and volatile emperor Taxian-jun dies, he unexpectedly finds himself transported back to his 15-year-old self Mo Ran. Brimming with hatred for his cold-hearted shizun Chu Wanning, Mo Ran vows to make it his mission to make Chu Wanning’s life a misery. However, much to his distress and despite his attempts of ignoring it, Mo Ran can’t help but see his shizun’s actions and expressions in a different light and see that his aloof catlike shizun may not be as cold and cruel as he appears.

The synopsis for the last volume is as follows:

The great battle between worlds is over, but Mo Ran and Chu Wanning’s story continues.

Chu Wanning’s birthday is fast approaching, and Mo Ran is on the hunt for the perfect present. What he doesn’t expect is for his greatest competition to be his other self, Taxian-jun! Once a group of mischievous rice-cake spirits take the battle from mundane to magical, chaos is bound to ensue.

Later, Xue Meng tries out a magical device meant to match cultivators with their true love. But why do so many of his dates seem…strangely familiar? When Xue Meng’s disastrous love life threatens to cause mayhem throughout the cultivation realm, only the Mei twins—and a few old friends—can get him out of his predicament.

Vol. 11 of the hit danmei series The Husky and His White Cat Shizun launches on March 24. The regular edition is priced at $19.99 and the special edition at $29.99.
