Oshi no Ko Announces Season 4 is Final Season

Oshi no Ko will end after four seasons.

Shortly after the finale of Season 3 aired, Oshi no Ko announced that a fourth season was confirmed and in production and that it would be the final season. The announcement video was dropped as well as a key visual with Aqua and Ruby standing in front, their eyes downturn and expressions somber. Meanwhile, at the back is pop idol Ai Hoshino who is smiling as brightly as usual. Crunchyroll has also revealed it will stream the fourth season when it airs.

Oshi no Ko premiered its anime adaptation on April 12, 2023 and concluded with 11 episodes. Doga Kobo produced the first season with Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Nekotomi directing. Jin Tanaka wrote the series script while Kanna Hirayama designed the characters. The first episode became the streaming platform HIDIVE’s top series launch in its history. Season 2 aired with 13 episodes from July 3 to October 6, 2024. Season 3 launched on January 14 and concluded with 11 episodes on March 25.

Written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Ko starts with gynaecologist Gorou Amamiya helping to deliver the twin babies of his favourite idol Ai Hoshino. On the night she was to give birth, a mysterious man killed Gorou. The next time he woke up, he discovered he had reincarnated into one of Ai’s twins named Aquamarine. Aqua doesn’t realize that his twin sister Ruby is also the reincarnation of someone he knows from his first life: Sarina Tendōji, a terminally ill patient he treated before she died. Aqua and Ruby’s lives seem content until the same man who killed Gorou returns and kills Ai. Aqua throws himself into acting with the goal of finding out who the killer and his father is while Ruby chases her dreams of becoming an idol.

The manga ran from April 23, 2020 to November 14, 2024 and has over 25 million copies in circulation as of December 2025. It won the Next Manga Award in the print category at the Manga Taishō and has been nominated numerous times at the Kodansha Manga Awards.

Information about the fourth season’s airing date has not yet been revealed as of this article’s writing. Crunchyroll and HIDIVE are streaming the series.
