Bong Seok, the lead character of the live-action drama Moving, may look a little different in Season 2.

According to SPOTV News, Won Gyu-bin may be taking on the role of Bong Seok in the second season of Moving which was previously portrayed by Lee Jung-ha. Both Won’s agency nne and Disney+, the streaming platform for Moving, reported that they were unable to confirm the reports, although apparently 150 cast and crew members attended a full script reading with Won in attendance.

Won debuted very recently in BITCH X RICH 2 and will appear in See You at Work Tomorrow! This will be his first leading role if reports are confirmed.

Lee’s enlistment in the marine corps this year means he won’t be discharged until July 2027, making his return for Moving 2 an improbability. At the 2024 Disney Content Showcase APAC, Carol Choi, the executive vice president of original content strategy, confirmed the development of the second season.

Season 2 will allegedly include new characters and a focus on the adult generation whereas the first season focused on the younger generation played by Lee, Go Youn-jung, and Kim Do-hoon.

Kang Full, the creator behind the original webtoon, also wrote the script for the television adaptation with Park In-je and Park Yoon-seo co-directing. Season 1 aired from August to September 2023 and became the most watched Korean original series on Disney+ and Hulu. The story revolves around teenagers who try to hide their superpowers and their parents who are also hiding a dark and painful past.

The series became Lee’s breakout role internationally and he won “Best Newcomer Actor” at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, Baeksang Arts Awards, and Blue Dragon Series Awards. Go Youn-jun also won “Best Newcomer Actress” at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards and the Blue Dragon Series Awards. The series overall won “Best Visual Effects” and “Best Creative” at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards and the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

Moving can be read on Tapas. The series can be streamed on Disney+ and Hulu.
