Manta Announces Global Distribution of KADOKAWA and Square Enix Titles

Manta is adding KADOKAWA and Square Enix titles to its manga library.

Manta initially started as a platform for Korean webcomics translated into English, primarily focusing on romantasy works. Then, it expanded to Korean webnovel offerings. The platform has grown rapidly since, adding titles from other platforms such as Solo Leveling, Love on Hold, and I Shall Master This Family. In April, Manta added manga, notably those from Kodansha, and with the addition of KADOKAWA and Square Enix, along with its digital platform Manga Up!, fans can look forward to reading more of their favorite titles.

More than 300 titles have been added which includes:

• The Apothecary Diaries
• Proud to be the Villainess: I’m Doomed After Stealing my Half-Sister’s Fiance and Having Her Banished
• Daemons of the Shadow Realm
• TOKYO RAVENS

Owned and operated by RIDI Corporation, Manta first launched in November 2020 as a subscription-based service. First licensing manhwa, the platform eventually began releasing original webcomics. Manta then branched out with licensing webnovels under Manta Novels in February 2024. Throughout the past six years, Manta has made changes to the way readers can access their library including introducing an in-app currency called GEM which allows non-subscribers to read GEM-exclusive works.

Fans can read the first three chapters of select new titles for three as well as enjoy a 30% discount on manga on the platform.
