Lucia is coming back with Season 4 at the end of the month.
The news was revealed on Lucia‘s Kakaopage and announced by TARUVI, the artist for the manhwa. Season 4 will release on Kakao on April 30. In addition, the price for the access passes will change with rental passes increasing from 200 won to 300 won and for those who want to own the chapters will now have to pay 500 won instead of the old price at 400 won.
TARUVI announced their return in an Instagram post with an April Fools’ Day cover, reminiscent of their style in Season 1 with Lucia and Hugo wearing the outfits from the proposal scene. They also revealed that they had been gotten into a traffic accident and had been receiving medical treatment but, as of their Instagram post, has made significant progress in their recovery. They also revealed that they underwent surgery last summer.
The artist continued that since the conclusion of Season 3, they and the company discussed their contract where the issues were resolved amicably and they were confirmed to be the artist for the entirety of its serialization. Previously, it was unclear to both the readers and TARUVI if they would return for the third season as the artist, resulting in them working on a new work, roughly translating to Moonlight Library.
TARUVI stated that hiatuses for the series will not be as long as this one and they will “run full speed ahead” for the rest of the main story and side stories.
Tappytoon’s synopsis reads:
Lucia, the sixteenth princess of the kingdom, has seen her future through a strange dream. But it was a vivid nightmare of a terrible marriage that continues to haunt her. To change her dreadful fate, she suggests a contract marriage to Duke Hugo Taran, a well-known womanizer. Can this setup break Lucia from her fate? Or will her choice lead down a path even she couldn’t foresee?!
Season 3 concluded on February 5, 2025 on Kakaopage. Lucia is available to read on Tapas, Tappytoon, and Lezhin. A return date for the English translation was not yet announced.
