Long Beach Comic Con 2026 has officially concluded after a weekend of celebratory panels, cosplay, toy showcases, and more at the Long Beach Convention Center. Under the new stewardship of Nerd Street Events, the two-day convention marked a 50% increase in attendance over last year’s event, hosting a bustling exhibit hall along with 45 hours of panels and programming.
This year’s show brought together fans, creators, and families for an unforgettable weekend filled with celebrity appearances, fandom-focused programming, live entertainment, screenings, and artist signature sessions. Highlights included Main Stage conversations from the talent behind Five Nights at Freddy’s, Pokémon, Phineas and Ferb, and Power Rangers, alongside the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell-A-Bration, which celebrated the original live-action TMNT films of the 1990s.
The convention also hosted the official costume contest on Saturday and Sunday, crowning winners across eight categories each night, along with GeekFest film programming, discussions with artists and publishers, cosplay workshops, and a wide range of panels and activities.
“Long Beach Comic Con has been a special gathering place for local comic and geek culture fans in Southern California, and we’re honored to host the event once more for friends, family and fans to have fun and celebrate their favorite stories and franchises with fellow fans,” said Ben Penrod, President and Owner of Nerd Street Events. “We can’t wait to see all our friends again in 2027!”
Long Beach Comic Con will return to the Long Beach Convention Center on August 14-15, 2027, with ticket sales opening in the fall.
Nerd Street Events’ first year at the helm proved successful, with a significant attendance boost and a packed programming slate. For fans who attended, the 2027 dates are already on the calendar. For those who missed out, mark August 14-15—Long Beach Comic Con is here to stay.
