Things are getting tense (and steamy) in the trailer for White Angels Have no Wings.
Lezhin Snack, the app that recently launched with its focus on producing short vertical drama adaptations of manhwa, announced that it will be adapting the GL manhwa White Angels Have No Wings. A trailer was dropped on its X, formerly known as Twitter, account, introducing Ayeon and Yeonhwa. Ayeon gets tortured by her classmates but gets saved by Yeonhwa who may be more twisted than all of her bullies combined. The story follows the various relationships Yeonhwa embarks on.
Directed by Shim Hyungjun, the drama stars Han Jae-in, Jo Chae-yoon, and Yang Ah-reum.
Lezhin describes the story:
A Catholic school where everything seems tranquil and fine. But for Ayeon, a day doesn’t pass without getting bullied until one day, Yeonhwa steps in against the bullies. Ayeon is grateful for Yeonhwa but what she doesn’t realize is that there seems to be something more than just good intentions behind that beautiful smile.
The manhwa, written and illustrated by Gado, launched on Lezhin’s English platform on October 19, 2016 and ran for 78 episodes before concluding on February 28, 2018.
White Angels Have No Wings can be read on Lezhin. The drama will premiere on Lezhin Snack on May 14.
