Mayu Murata’s romcom shojo manga series will conclude with Chapter 124 on April 3 in the May 2026 issue of Ribon Magazine. The first tankobon volume came out on May 25, 2016 with the final volume coming out on May 25, 2026, marking the close of a 10-year serialization run.
Honey Lemon Soda received a live-action adaptation with Snow Man’s Raul starring as Kai Miura and Ai Yoshikawa as Uka Ishimori. The film released in Japan on July 9, 2021. The series inspired an aniem adaptation with J.C. Staff animating and TMS Entertainment producing. Hiroshi Nishikiori served as the director and Akiko Waba wrote the series script. The anime launched on January 9, 2025 for 12 episodes and, as of this article’s writing, has not confirmed a second season.
As of July 2024, Honey Lemon Soda has over 13 million copies in circulation. The manga received a nomination at the 2021 Kodansha Manga Awards in the shojo category.
