The X, formerly known as Twitter, account of Link Click released the trailer for the upcoming first part of the third season of the original donghua. The trailer opens with Cheng Xiaoshi musing that Lu Guang seems to be keeping a lot of secrets to himself and the reason for his mature air is due to him seemingly knowing everything. Lu Guang seems tortured as he’s conflicted with using the power Cheng Xiaoshi left behind and trying to save his friends.
A new key visual for the third season was released which puts Cheng Xiaoshi front and center as he climbs up Escher’s “Relativity” stairs. Upside down is Lu Guang. At the top of the poster are the words: “Past or future let them be.”

The donghua, created and directed by Li Haoling, premiered on April 30, 2021 where the first season ran for 11 episodes. Season 2 premiered on July 14, 2023 for 12 episodes. A prequel season, titled the “Bridon Arc” launched with six episodes in December 2024. The original donghua also inspired a Chinese live-action drama and a Japanese live-action drama.
Link Click follows best friends Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang who run a photo studio where they help clients with their various regrets using their powers. With a simple high five, Cheng Xiaoshi is able to possess the person who took a photograph while Lu Guang has the ability to see what happened 12 hours after the photo has been taken. The donghua first premiered on Funimation, marking it as the streaming platform’s first donghua, and quickly rose to popularity with its unique plot and storytelling.
The donghua can be watched on Crunchyroll but the streaming platform has not confirmed if the third season will be available there. Season 3 Part 1 airs on August 14 on Bilibili.
