Crossed Hearts announced the licensing of its first mangaka-self-published work.
OctoPiece, written and illustrated by Mitomo Sasako, is a fantasy work that Sasako sold on the Booth marketplace in March. The manga appears to consist of two volumes but it is unclear if Crossed Hearts will be publishing it as a one-shot or in two volmes. The publisher has not announced a release window for the work yet.

Crossed Hearts describes the synopsis:
Set on the remote island nation of Arakam, where military might and faith stand as twin pillars of rule, this dark fantasy follows Yuzuki, a soldier consumed by a distorted sense of justice, and her fateful encounter with a wandering boy of unknown age who calls himself Furuoka.
Together, they are drawn into a story that blurs the line between conviction and madness.
Crossed Hearts is a relatively new publisher for manga, manhwa, and light novels. Amongst its licenses, the publisher has launched two imprints, the girls’ love imprint called Glam Beat and the boys’ love imprint Blush Club, as well as its in-house creative studio called Studio Hearts which focuses on original IP.
