Three Lord of Mysteries specials will be arriving on Crunchyroll in two months.

Crunchyroll has announced that three special episodes of the hit donghua adaptation of the webnovel will be launching on the streaming platform in June. The first episode, titled “City of Silver” will air on June 20, and be made available worldwide, excluding Japan and China. The remaining two episodes will air sometime later in the month. The trailer for the specials have been released and can be viewed below.

The synopsis for “City of Silver” can be read below:

Above the undying gray fog, Klein Moretti, the enigmatic The Fool, presided over the Tarot Club when a new, distant prayer echoed through the mists. Reaching across the veil, he summoned Derrick Berg from the City of Silver—a cursed bastion trapped within the Forsaken Land of God. Through Derrick’s haunting tales, the grim history of this sunless city was unveiled. Seeking salvation for his people, Derrick pledged his soul to The Fool’s grace. From the twenty-two Major Arcana, he chose his mantle: “The Sun.”

The synopsis for the last two episodes, called “The Marked Hunt” can be read below:

The gathering then turned to matters of blood and ambition. “The Hanged Man,” Alger Wilson, proposed a high-stakes exchange. He sought the head of Qilangos, one of the infamous seven Pirate Admirals, and tasked “Justice,” Audrey Hall, with leveraging her noble influence in Backlund to hunt the wind-blessed killer.

In the foggy streets of the Loen capital, Audrey’s quest led her to the Beyonder duo, Fors Wall and Xio Derecha. As the web tightened around the Admiral, Klein sought the intervention of his mentor, the mysterious Mr. Azik. By weaving together the threads of divinity, ancient power, and mortal cunning, The Fool ensured the Tarot Club’s first great triumph: the fall of Qilangos.

B.C. May Pictures adapted the original novel by Cuttlefish into a donghua that aired with Season 1 on June 28, 2025, and Xiong Ke directing. The series has garnered praise for its animation and storytelling. The studio had unveiled an ambitious 10-year plan for the donghua series that listed:

  • A special episode in 2026
  • Season 2 in 2027
  • A second special episode in 2029
  • Season 3 in 2030
  • Season 4 in 2032
  • Season 5 in 2033
  • Seasons 6 and 7 in 2034
  • A third special episode and final movie in 2035

It is unclear whether these three episodes in June are the same as the previously announced special episodes.

Yen Press has licensed the novel for a print release and describes the first volume:

In the storm of steam and machinery, who can achieve the extraordinary? In the fog of history and darkness, who whispers? When Zhou Mingrui wakes up bloody and dazed, he finds himself in a world of guns, factories, airships, and difference engines. But underneath the surface of all this industry, there exists a secret society revolving around potions, divination, sealed artifacts, and much more. As Zhou Mingrui tries to find out what brought him to this place, he quickly learns that mystery is lurking around every corner—and danger is never far behind! This is the legend of the Fool…
