There’s a new girl group carrying the torch of Japanese dance pop—and they’re just getting started.
CIRRA, the 10-member group formed through the GALBATO audition project led by former E-girls leader Harumi Sato, have released their new single “I like it” alongside a music video. The track is the second from their upcoming third EP, Snow Dress / I like it, out November 18.
“I like it” sees CIRRA embracing a house-inspired dance production, pairing a sleek, stylish arrangement with lyrics in both English and Japanese. The song brings out a confident side of the group while highlighting their energy as performers. It was written by Mayu Wakisaka, with composition by Rajan Muse, Mayu Wakisaka, and Louise Lindberg.
The upcoming EP explores two contrasting sides of the group through its pair of title tracks. While “I like it” leans into an upbeat dance sound and energetic atmosphere, “Snow Dress” takes a slower, more emotional approach—offering a different perspective on the group’s musical identity. “Snow Dress” is set for release on November 2.
CIRRA was formed through GALBATO – GIRLS BATTLE AUDITION –, a nationwide audition project led by Harumi Sato, the former leader of E-girls. Part of LDH JAPAN—the entertainment company behind EXILE—E-girls became one of Japan’s most prominent female dance and vocal groups during the 2010s, helping define the sound and style of the country’s pop scene in the final decade of the Heisei era.
Building on that legacy, CIRRA officially debuted in March 2026. Their debut EP’s track “Always” reached No. 1 on Billboard JAPAN’s Heatseekers Songs chart.
CIRRA consists of MYU.S, TOA, HINATA, YURARA, YUNA, MOMO, NIKORI, MYU.Y, KOHARU, and MANON (no, not that Manon!).
“I like it” is available now on all streaming platforms. With the EP arriving November 18 and “Snow Dress” coming November 2, CIRRA are steadily building something special. If you love Japanese dance pop with a modern edge, this is a group worth watching.
