A short, but heartbreaking, baihe manhua has made its debut.
Baiheverse, a relatively new platform for hosting digital licenses for baihe novels, manhua, audio, and video media, has announced the license and completion of 只要彼此爱过一次, translating to Long as We Have Loved in English. According to the publisher, this is one of three collaborative works with the creator nihaohaohaojun. Maryonnetis translated the manhua with Mellisa.M typesetting.

The manhua is short, containing only eight chapters. The synopsis is as follows:
Years later, after another call from her mother about getting married, Zhou Ruoheng couldn’t help but think back on her school days—how, once upon a time, there had been someone she loved.
Long As We Have Loved joins Baiheverse’s small but growing manhua library which includes Canine Senior and Dog Junior, Submission Time! Yes or Yes? Wolf x Rabbit, and Seeing Xinghuo Again.
Baiheverse is one of the few publishers, traditional and digital, to have a dedicated space for baihe, which translates to girls’ love in Chinese. Seven Seas recently opened an imprint solely for their baihe licenses after they licensed their first title, The Beauty’s Blade. Rosmei has also licensed a few baihe including The Creator’s Grace and At the World’s Mercy.
Baiheverse has been open about some of the challenges they have been facing such as “financial and energy difficulties, as well as the extra effort required to overcome them.” They promised to “continue license new works when we have sufficient funds. In short, everything is still aimed at bringing more baihe works.”
Long as We Have Loved can be read on Baiheverse so long as you register for an account.
