Season 1 of the anime aired between April to September 2021. Season 2, adapting the “Christmas Showdown” arc, premiered in January 2023 where it aired until April. The “Tenjiku” arc was adapted for the third season which aired between October to December 2023. Based on the best-selling manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui, Tokyo Revengers received an anime adaptation, courtesy of Liden Films. The story follows 26-year-old loser Takemichi Hanagaki who finds out his girlfriend in middle school and her brother have been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang, an organization known for committing all kinds of heinous crimes. When Takemichi gets pushed in front of a train, he wakes up 12 years in the past and realizes he may be able to save his girlfriend from her tragic death. As he investigates, he realizes the Tokyo Manji Gang from 12 years ago is a very different group than the one he’s familiar with in the future.
“War of the Three Titans” premieres on October 2.
