The first key visual for the live-action series adaptation of The Remarried Empress is out.
The poster features Shin Min Ah as Navier in her royal attire as Navier. She looks back with an imposing stare with her famous words from the webcomic above her head: “I accept this divorce. And I request an approval of my remarriage.” After discovering that her husband has been cheating on her, Navier is barely deterred and immediately sets her sights on creating a new life for herself–as a new empress. A firm release date has not yet been revealed although WEBTOON has noted that it will release in the fall this year.
Starring alongside Shin Min Ah is Ju Jihoon as Navier’s husband Sovieshu and Lee Se Young as Rashta, the new empress and a former slave. Lee Jong Suk will star as Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire and Navier’s new husband.
The Remarried Empress started as a webnovel by Alphatart, published on Naver. It was later adapted into a webcomic illustrated by Sumpul and published on WEBTOON. Since its debut on September 5, 2020, the webcomic has amassed 565.8 million views as of this article’s writing on the English platform. The manhwa concluded with 247 episodes on February 14, 2026.

The webcomic can be read on WEBTOON digitally and in print by Ize Press. The drama is set to release in the fall this year on Disney+ and Hulu.
