A new singing anime will make its debut in 2027, and fans can participate in its creation.
Studio Cabana will have an anime adaptation that will premiere in 2027. A key visual was released with Yukari Manga holding a notebook to her chest while she stares at Yusuke Kusaka who has his earphones plugged in, a pensive look on his face. Sayumi Suzushiro was announced as the voice actor for Yukari, but a voice actor for Yusuke was not announced. The tagline reads, “If that’s not love, tell me what it is.”
Koki Uchiyama voiced Yusuke in a promo video for Studio Cabana but it is unclear if he will return to reprise the role for the adaptation. However, the anime’s official social media account announced that fans can vote for the singing voice of Yusuke. This month, they released the five auditions for Yusuke which can be heard on YouTube. Voting begins on November 23 with winners announced in January 2027.
studio JUVENAGE will animate and produce the series. Shinichiro Ushijima will direct, Sawako Hirabayashi will oversee the series composition, and Haruka Sagawa will be in charge of character designs.
Written and illustrated by Uma Agri, Studio Cabana began serialization on Pixiv Comic in June 2021 with chapters compiled into nine volumes as of August 2026.
Yen Press describes Studio Cabana:
Yukari Maki is a high school girl who prides herself on honesty—and she’s starting to get the feeling that she and her delinquent classmate, Yusuke Kusaka, don’t have a single thing in common! But her straitlaced unwillingness to let him skate by in school earns her an almost chaperone-like reputation, and his apparent disdain. Yet, despite Yusuke’s disapproval of her hovering, Yukari refuses to let a new rumor about him spread. After following Yusuke home to discuss it, she watches him stop at a music studio. And there, Yukari sees—and hears—a side of Yusuke she had never imagined…
Both the anime and English print of the manga will release in 2027.
