Comments from the Voice Actors

“The first time I read the manga, I was captivated by the heartwarming story and intricately drawn world. While watching Kirik and his team build houses, I felt as though I was a child reading a picture book, filled with excitement. I’m extremely happy to be able to live in this world as Soara.”

“I’m honored to play the voice of Kirik. When I read the manga, I was blown away by not just the originality of the content, but also by Yamaji-sensei’s breathtaking art style, the uniqueness of all the monsters, and most of all – Kirik’s way of life and charisma!”

The Story
Raised with the sole purpose of fighting monsters, on the day of her first battle, a young girl, Soara, is suddenly told that the war against monsters is over – leaving her without a reason to fight. At a complete loss, Soara wanders aimlessly and happens to meet Kirik and his friends, “architects of the monster world” – Dwarves that build houses in the monster world. Building “houses” for monsters!? Their encounter slowly changes Soara’s fate.
Director Takaharu Ozaki shared: “With the upcoming anime adaptation, I wondered what exactly ‘fantasy house-building’ would be – and upon turning the pages of the manga, was mesmerized by the worldview, characters and story in absolutely no time at all. I would be delighted if everyone could join Soara, Kirik and the others on their journey together in search of a safe, secure house – a place that hearts can truly call home.”
To commemorate the TV anime adaptation, wood carving creator “kibori_poppo” will craft a special piece inspired by the series. Behind-the-scenes footage will be released sequentially until August 10.

Soara and the House of Monsters offers a fresh take on the isekai fantasy genre, swapping swords for hammers as its heroes build homes for displaced monsters. With a strong voice cast, experienced staff, and a heartwarming premise, this is one to watch in 2027. More details to come.
