Song Qingshi’s mistake of saving the villain has been a blessing in disguise.
Seven Seas Entertainment revealed the fourth and final volume cover artwork for Mistakenly Saving the Villain. Illustrated by St., the cover features Song Qingshi and Yue Wuhuan hugging, looking gloriously happy. 墨路 illustrates the interior artwork. Yuka translates the series. Mistakenly Saving the Villain will not have a special edition for the final volume, likely because there was one already available for the first volume, but it will include an exclusive new chapter from the author themself.

Written by Feng Yu Nie, Mistakenly Saving the Villain follows Song Qingshi who wakes up in a historical fantasy novel where he must rescue the protagonist from a tragic end. Unfortunately, he doesn’t save the protagonist–instead, he saves the minor villain Yue Wuhuan who is deeply distrustful due to his time as a slave. Armed with his extensive medical knowledge, Song Qingshi is determined to save Yue Wuhuan and heal both his physical and psychological injuries.
The synopsis for Vol. 4 is as follows:
Song Qingshi has lost his memories, and with them the truth of who Yue Wuhuan truly is—yet the two are drawn together all the same. However, something about reality seems…strange. Like Song Qingshi isn’t the only one who’s forgotten something important.
In search of answers, he eventually enters a trial left behind by the legendary sword master Mo Yuan, forced to confront the same fatal mistake again and again. Meanwhile, Demons of Filth rise from the shadows, a devastating plague spreads across the land, and the world itself continues to crumble. But at least Song Qingshi has Yue Wuhuan at his side.
Beneath the corruption and ruin, the ultimate truth lies waiting to surface. Even a being never meant to feel can grow a heart strong enough to defy fate. And a phoenix will always rise from the ashes.
The final volume comes out on October 20.
