Maxi’s Magic Gives Under the Oak Tree Comic Vol. 4 Cover a Spark

Will Maxi finally be able to showcase her magic to Riftan and prove that she doesn’t need saving?

Inklore unveiled the cover for the fourth volume of the manhwa adaptation of the Under the Oak Tree webnovel. On the cover are Maxi, Riftan, and Agnes, the princess of Wedon who was originally Riftan’s betrothed which will surely make Maxi’s insecurities rise to the surface. Riftan has a slight frown on his face while Agnes is smiling. Maxi is in the center, her hands out with a ball of light floating in the palms of her hands.

Based on Suji Kim’s New York Times bestselling romantasy novel, the manhwa was adapted by Seomal and illustrated by P. The hit romantasy series first debuted as a digital title on Manta Comics where it quickly rose to becoming one of platform’s top works. Inklore is also publishing the print version of Kim’s novel.

Under the Oak Tree follows Lady Maximilian Croyso who is forced to marry Sir Riftan Calypse. Their wedding is a rushed affair and Riftan leaves right after their first night together. Three years pass and Riftan returns as a war hero and determined to bring Maxi home, much to her bewilderment. After hearing nothing for the past few years, why would he want her? Especially when she can barely get through a sentence without stuttering and when she has nothing to offer in both looks and prestige? But Maxi will soon discover that there is a whole world out there–one of possibility, warm, and love–if she has the courage to take a step.

The synopsis is as follows:

Spring is finally here, and so is the most important guest Maxi has ever hosted: Agnes Drachina Reuben, the princess of Wedon and the renowned sorceress who fought by Riftan’s side during the Dragon Campaign. Knowing that Riftan and Agnes were once widely expected to marry, Maxi can’t help but feel anxious and wary around the beautiful and talented princess.

But rumored old flames soon become the least of Maxi’s worries, because monsters are still on the move in a large-scale migration across the continent. As the Remdragon Knights prepare for a possible call to action, Maxi resumes her magic studies and finds herself daring to hope: Will Riftan and the knights finally acknowledge her abilities and take her on their next campaign?

Vol. 4 of Under the Oak Tree releases on April 13, 2027 and collects Episodes 65 to 85 of the digital webcomic.
