Manta is embarking on its first global release drop.
Manta has announced that it will release the BL manhwa From the Burnt Ashes at the same time as when RIDI releases it for the Korean app. More times than not, Korean platforms will launch and serialize series before an English translation is ever made available and because of that schedule, English-speaking readers will be weeks behind the Korean chapters. With this, readers can follow along with the story without having to wait.

Written and illustrated by by Ma jeung ji, the story contains, according to the tags, “found family,” “secret identity,” “golden retriever top,” “older and aloof bottom,” “housemates/roommates,” and “marriage/cohabitation.” But it’s not all fluff, because right under, there will be a “scheming and red flag top” and “suffering bottom” as the story is “dark” and “hardcore.”
With the tagline “Everyone remembers a brother he never had,” Manta describes the story:
Yeonho Seo returns home for the holidays, only to find a younger brother who never existed before. But everyone insists Nanhwa has always been part of the family, leaving Yeonho alone in his doubts. As his strange “little brother” draws closer, Yeonho begins to question his own reality.
From the Burnt Ashes drops on Manta on October 8 at 9 AM EST. Fans can read the first chapter already.
