Oni Press has announced Covenant: The Final Chapter, the concluding volume of LySandra Vuong’s supernatural queer romantasy series. Unusually for the WEBTOON-to-print pipeline, the final chapter of what is better known as “Hot Priests Versus Even Hotter Vampires” will be debuting in print before anywhere else. The book is set to hit stores everywhere in July 2027, but fans can reserve their copies now via a live Kickstarter campaign, alongside a slate of limited-edition collectibles designed in collaboration with Vuong.
Covenant originally ran on WEBTOON, where it accumulated more than 29 million readers and 735,000 subscribers. The finale picks up with protagonists Sunny and Ezra going rogue, descending into Hell to confront the chaos unraveling the world around them—and finally getting answers to the questions that have haunted the series since the start, including the truth about Sunny’s parentage and the secret binding angels and demons together.
“Covenant is a supernatural action series about faith, family, and finding your place in a world that expects you to be something you’re not,” said Vuong. “What begins as an action-packed comic about exorcists, demons, and angels reveals a deeply personal story about trauma, love, and the courage to choose your own path. At its heart, it follows Sunny and Ezra as they navigate Heaven and Hell while learning who they are — and who they want to be.”
Vuong added, “Covenant Vol. 6 finally gives us answers to some of the biggest questions haunting the series. Will Sunny and Ezra actually face this thing that is growing between them while they try to stop him? This book contains everything I have been looking forward to bringing to life for a very long time.”
The Kickstarter campaign (which funded in under ten minutes and has already raised more than $100,000) offers three deluxe, foil-stamped hardcover editions exclusive to the campaign: the slipcased “Tattooed Edition,” and two signed-and-slipcased variants, the “Demonic Edition” and the “Holy Edition.” Backers can also unlock an extensive merchandise lineup, including exclusive tarot cards, enamel pins of the Church of Providence priests, an 8″ x 10.5″ acrylic standee, devotional candles, anime-style wall scrolls, enamel bookmarks, U.S. hand-screened t-shirts by Holy Mountain, a Covenant-branded crossbody bag, prayer beads, and Shikishi boards featuring original artwork remarqued by Vuong.
