Hai Tang Books has made an unexpected move into the Korean manhwa space.
Launching in December 2024, the publisher is known for publishing Chinese BL novels and has licensed more than 10 danmei novels which includes Guide on How to Fail at Online Dating, A Certain Someone, Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know, Boundless Utterance, and Wait For Me After School. Hai Tang Books dropped a teaser on August 22 and sharp-eyed fans spotted some familiar BL manhwa which simultaneously confused and excited readers. Hai Tang Books announced a total of five BL manhwa that will be releasing in print. Four of the titles will receive merch freebies, but it is unclear if Press 0 for Customer Support will have it. Based on some replies from Hai Tang Books, it appears as though the publisher will be doing a brand-new translation.
