Seven Seas has revealed the cover for Vol. 3 of The Wife Comes First.
The publisher dropped the cover artwork for the final volume of the danmei The Wife Comes First. The art is more purple and pink compared to the first two volumes which had darker color schemes. Similar to the first two volumes, Mu Hanzhang and Jing Shao are together and cuddling on their bed. Zolaida illustrated the cover with furifuricchin providing the interior artwork. Foxghost handled the translation.
Written by Lv Ye Qian He, The Wife is First follows Jing Shao, the third prince, who always places the country first and foremost. He ignores his first wife, Jun Qing, in favour of his concubines, despite how caring Jun Qing is. When he realizes just how much he’s wronged Jun Qing, it’s too late and the two are killed. However, Jing Shao gets a second chance when he wakes up and finds that he has gone back in time to when he first married Jun Qing. Knowing what he knows how, he vows to treat his husband better this time around.
The Wife Comes First has inspired a manhua adaptation with 135 chapters and 15 extras which was previously serialized on Kuaikanmanhua but seems to have been removed. The manhua was completed in March 2023 after a near three-year run since its launch in October 2020. It also has a manhua drama and audio drama adaptation with two total seasons.
