GODZILLA MINUS ZERO Trailer Drops: The King of Monsters Returns with IMAX Fury

Godzilla Minus Zero

Takashi Yamazaki is bringing the King of Monsters back to the big screen, and the new trailer for GODZILLA MINUS ZERO is absolutely epic.

Filmed completely for IMAX, the trailer opens with a chilling line: “We didn’t finish the job like we thought.” Despite previous insistence that Godzilla was destroyed, the kaiju has clearly survived—and he’s returning in a big way. The new footage promises devastation on a massive scale, and the IMAX format is sure to make every stomp feel like an earthquake.

Director Takashi Yamazaki returns to helm the sequel, following the massive success of its predecessor GODZILLA MINUS ONE. The 2023 film was a global phenomenon, earning widespread critical acclaim, winning the Oscar for Best Visual Effects, and grossing over $100 million worldwide. Expectations for GODZILLA MINUS ZERO are sky-high.

GODZILLA MINUS ZERO is set for a theatrical release in Japan on November 6. International release details have not yet been announced.

If the trailer is any indication, Yamazaki is pulling out all the stops for this sequel. The IMAX treatment, the return of Godzilla after his supposed demise, and the director’s proven track record make this one of the most anticipated kaiju films in years. Keep your eyes on the skies—and the ocean. He’s coming.
