Los Angeles is about to get a whole lot more magical.
The first-ever official Studio Ghibli store in the United States—known as Donguri Republic—opens June 23 at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California. The pop-up will remain open through December 31, 2026.
What to Expect
The store features over 400 officially licensed products from Studio Ghibli’s beloved catalog, including My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, The Boy and the Heron, and more.
The retail space is designed to “recreate the warmth and wonder of Studio Ghibli’s storytelling,” with wood-inspired interiors, whimsical displays, and a giant Totoro waiting at a bus stop for the Cat Bus. Custom storefront artwork featuring Mei and Little Totoro will also be on display.
Exclusive Perks
- Opening Day Giveaway: Guests who spend $100 or more will receive a limited-edition Donguri Republic Los Angeles tote bag while supplies last.
- Studio Ghibli Fest 2026: Fans who attend screenings can get exclusive movie film-style bookmarks with qualifying purchases.

- Monday–Saturday: 10 AM – 9 PM PT
- Sunday: 11 AM – 7 PM PT
For West Coast Ghibli fans, this is huge. Previously, official Ghibli merchandise required trips to Japan or relying on imports. Now, a dedicated store with 400+ products is just a drive away—at least through the end of the year.
