It’s been a while since anyone has heard news about Eleceed, but we now have more news about the anime adaptation.
Amuse Creative Studio dropped a key visual for the anime, featuring all of the main characters from the webcomic with Jiwoo and Kayden front and center. Along with the key visual, the studio revealed that the anime series will air in early 2027 rather than the 2026 release window which was initially announced during Anime Expo 2025. No reason for the delay has been given.
DandeLion Animation Studio animating and producing the series and Hiroshi Nishikori directing. Yousuke Kuroda will write the script with Minami Sakura as the character designer.
Fans can look forward to learning more about Eleceed at Anime Expo at the “Amuse Creative Studio Presents: New Anime Launch Event” on July 4 at 3:45 PM to 5:05 PM.
Written by Son Jeho and illustrated by Zhena, Eleceed first began serialization on Naver WEBTOON in October 2018 before making its debut on the English platform on May 6, 2019. The action manhwa is still serializing on the platform with close to 500 chapters as of this article’s publishing. Inklore holds the physical print license.
