Dark Horse Manga is expanding its catalog. The publisher announced four new licenses at the end of last month, giving fans a fresh slate of titles to look forward to across comedy, horror, and everything in between.
Asobi Asobase – The beloved absurdist comedy about three schoolgirls who turn even the most mundane activities into chaotic disasters is getting the omnibus treatment. Dark Horse will release the series in paperback omnibus format, making it easier than ever to collect the full run of this cult-favorite gag manga.
Babanba Banban Vampire – A vampire comedy with a twist. This series follows a 450-year-old vampire who works at a public bathhouse while trying to prevent a teenager’s first sexual experience—because virgin blood is the only kind she can drink. Equal parts absurd and endearing, it’s been gaining buzz since its anime adaptation announcement.
Forget-Me-Not – Set for release as an oversized paperback, this series promises a more intimate, melancholic tone. Details are still emerging, but the format choice suggests Dark Horse is positioning it as a showcase for detailed artwork and emotional storytelling.
Suicide Island – A survival drama from the creator of Holyland. The series follows a group of people who attempted suicide and were left to survive on a remote island. Gritty, psychological, and unflinching, it’s a stark addition to Dark Horse’s lineup.
Dark Horse continues to balance established fan favorites with offbeat and niche selections. These four licenses suggest the publisher is paying attention to what readers are actually talking about—from meme-worthy comedies to bleak survival dramas.
Release dates haven’t been announced yet, but expect more details as the titles move through production.
