The “Anime GTA” just got bigger.
Perfect World Games brought Neverness to Everness (NTE) to Anime Expo 2026 with exclusive hands-on demos of the game’s Version 1.2 update—and the update officially launched, July 8, for all players.
What’s in Version 1.2
The “999 Nights” update delivers a sprawling new region called the Warren Continent, accessible through the new main story episode “Fighting with a Dragon.” The narrative drops players into a light-hearted fantasy tabletop RPG-style adventure—a shift from the game’s usual urban paranormal setting.
Two new S-Class characters headline the update:
- Shinku (Cosmos DPS) – A martial arts fighter who can switch between forms and gains a movement speed boost in the open world.
- Iroi (Anima Support) – A healer capable of reviving fallen allies and interacting with small animals for character enhancement materials.
Version 1.2 also marks NTE’s official arrival on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with full cross-play and cross-progression support. Other features include new vehicles (including the “Draco” bike), fishkeeping and aquarium systems, a new mahjong game mode, and a free S-Class Standard Character Selection Box for all players.
At the Anime Expo Booth
At Booth WH-412, attendees got an exclusive first look at the 1.2 update before its worldwide release. The booth featured hands-on demos, cosplay appearances from Shuzi (Hotori), Shika (a yet-unannounced character), and Jun Ye Tako (Shinku), plus special activities and giveaways.
NTE‘s 1.2 update is one of the most ambitious post-launch expansions in recent gacha gaming—a new continent, two S-Rank characters, Steam launch, and a full fantasy RPG mode baked into the game. Version 1.2 is available now on PC, iOS, and Android.
