Fushigi Yuugi’s Four Priestesses Ring in the New Year

The official commemorative X (formerly known as Twitter) account for Fushigi Yuugi has shared a stunning New Year illustration featuring the series’ four priestesses, along with some great news.

Featuring in the illustration are the Priestess of Genbu (Takiko Okuda), the Priestess of Seiryuu (Yui Hongo), the Priestess of Byakko (Suzuno Ohsugi) and the Priestess of Suzaku (Miaka Yuuki). True to her personality, Miaka enthusiastically points forward, perhaps toward the viewer or even the upcoming future. In addition to the lovely artwork, the post revealed that Byakko Senki was set to resume serialization and that fans could look forward to a special project, of which the details have not been announced.

VIZ Media licenses the manga series, while Fushigi Yuugi‘s anime centered on the Priestesses of Suzaku and Seiryuu is available on Crunchyroll.
