Seven Seas Entertainment, leading English publisher of danmei, revealed the cover for the first volume of Golden Assistant. The cover, illustrated by 阿歾 Amo, features Xiao Yi helping Lu Zhou with his coat at a restaurant. Lu Zhou’s gaze is steady and piercing as he meets Xiao Yi’s eyes. Dot will illustrate the interior artwork. Liting Xiao will translate the series.
Written by Fei Tian Ye Xiang (Legend of Exorcism and Dinghai Fusheng Records amongst many other popular danmei series), Golden Assistant was released in 2014 on JJWXC and completed with 50 chapters.
Seven Seas describes the first volume:
Xiao Yi is at the end of his rope. He’s broke, his girlfriend just dumped him, and his dreams of breaking in to the music industry are dead in the water. That’s when an old friend reaches out with a job offer. At first, it seems like a dream come true: working as a personal assistant for the ultra-famous, ultra-handsome, ultra-talented actor Lu Zhou, whom Xiao Yi has admired since his debut.
The bad news is Lu Zhou is also ultra-demanding, ultra-prickly, and ultra-spoiled—none of his assistants ever last long. But Xiao Yi is determined to stick it out.
