Seemingly out of the blue, Seasons of Blossom has dropped its animation adaptation.

Animated and produced by an up-and-coming Korean studio called XTORM, the aeni adaptation of Seasons of Blossom was first announced back in 2022 and although news reported that the studio planned to release it in 2024, little information has been revealed. Single List reported that the aeni would finally premiere on April 15 with 12 episodes that will cover the first arc. Each episode will run for 15 minutes. Seasons of Blossom is XTORM’s first project.

Written by Hongduck and illustrated by Nemone, Seasons of Blossom initially launched on Naver WEBTOON on June 26, 2020 where it ran until March 31, 2023. It was then translated into English on the English platform on March 22, 2021 and ended on June 12, 2023. A sequel manhwa series, Seasons of Lovesome launched in August and October 2024 on the Korean and English platforms, respectively. Seasons of Blossom garnered 85.3 million views with the sequel gaining 10.5 million views on English WEBTOON.

Prior to the aeni, a live-action adaptation was released in September 2022 with Seo Ji-hoon as Lee Hamin, So Ju-yeon as Han Somang, Kim Min-kyu as Lee Jaemin, Kang Hye-won as Yoon Bomi, Yoon Hyun-soo as Choi Jinyoung, and Oh Yu-jin as Kang Seonhui.

The story is told in four parts and represents each season and follows different students through the seasons as they navigate matters of friendship, romance, bullying, and mental health. The first part is “Bomi’s Flower (Spring)”, the second shifts to summer with “Hamin’s Flower,” then autumn for “Ga-eul’s Flower,” and finally winter for “Dong-chae’s Flower.”

Seasons of Blossom is available to read on WEBTOON. There is currently no news of an international release.
