Psycho-Pass Providence’s New Trailer Previews Theme Songs
Psycho-Pass Providence has shared a snippet of the theme songs in a new trailer.
Uploaded on noitamina’s official YouTube channel, the latest trailer for the 10th anniversary animation project for the Psycho-Pass series revealed the theme songs for the movie. EGOIST’s ending theme song “Tōjisha” (The One Concerned) plays first before the trailer transitions to the opening theme song “Alexithymia Spare,” performed by Ling tosite Sigure. The film premieres in Japan on May 12.
Produced by Production I.G with Naoyoshi Shiotani, who directed the original anime series, directing once more, Psycho-Pass Providence will see the cast members from the 2012 anime series reuniting. Kana Hanazawa, Tomokazu Seki, Kenji Nojima, Shizuka Itou, Miyuki Sawashiro and Ayane Sakura will reprise their roles as Akane Tsunemori, Shinya Kōgami, Nobuchika Ginoza, Yayoi Kunizuka, Shion Karanomori and Mika Shimotsuki. Other cast members include Takahiro Sakurai, Hiroki Touchi, Takako Honda, Kazuhiro Yamaji and Noriko Hidaka will portray Sho Hinakawa, Teppei Sugo, Frederica Hanashiro, Jouji Saiga and the Dominator.
Described as the “untold story” between Psycho-Pass SS and Psycho-Pass 3, Psycho-Pass Providence follows Akane Tsunemori who investigates an incident on a foreign vessel. She discovers an organization called the “Peace Breakers” who aims to retrieve the “Stronskaya Document,” where a hidden truth is poised to shake the Sibyl System and Japanese government.
Psycho-Pass Seasons 1 and 2 are both available to stream on Crunchyroll. Psycho-Pass Providence premieres on May 12.
