One of anime’s most iconic films is returning to the big screen—newly restored. HIDIVE and Iconic Events Releasing will present the three-day North American limited theatrical release of the 4K adaptation of Ninja Scroll, writer and director Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s critically acclaimed 1993 samurai drama.
The limited release runs in approximately 600 theaters across the U.S. and Canada, with both English sub and dub options:
- Sunday, October 4 – English Sub
- Monday, October 5 – English Dub
- Wednesday, October 7 – Encore (Sub and Dub, varying by theater)
Supervised by Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri and produced by Sentai, the 4K digital adaptation is the result of a painstaking restoration process: a 4K scan (3840 × 2160 pixels) of the original 35mm negative, followed by frame-by-frame damage repair and color correction.
This is the first-ever—and perhaps only—chance for fans to see Ninja Scroll in North American theaters in 4K. Tickets are on sale now via Iconic Events Releasing and participating theater box offices. Check local listings and secure your seat before it’s too late.
